Lil’ Sluggers Coach

Teaching classes

• Instructors will be trained to teach all age groups: from Mascots (2yrs) to Hall of Famers (5-6yrs)
• All instructors will teach a minimum of 2 classes per week (if schedule permits)
• Instructors must follow the assigned curriculum and only modify when necessary
• Instructors must be present 15 minutes prior to class for set up and 15 minutes after class for clean up

Sign-ups

• Instructors must be proficient in answering company phone calls.
• Instructors will be asked to process over-the-phone and in-person registrations

Telemarketing

• Instructors will be scheduled to make phone calls one hour each month to past and current players
• In addition, reminder calls will be done the last two weeks of the session, and the first 3 weeks of a new session.

Birthday Parties

• Instructors are required to host at least 2 days of Birthday Parties per month.
• Instructors must provide their availability to the Lil’ Sluggers Coordinator/Director
• Instructors must arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the birthday party to assist the family with set up and to ensure that the field is set up and ready to go.

Marketing Information

• All instructors are responsible for updating information on their class rosters, as well as notifying parents of non-payments and expired memberships.
• All instructors are responsible for informing customers about specials.
• Instructors must participate in scheduled community events (ie: Light the Night, Kid Expo, Concerts in the Park, etc.) and company hosted events (ie: Coaches vs. Parents Game, Open House, etc.)
• Instructors must inform their players about Lil’ Sluggers birthday party packages when necessary

Facility Cleaning

• All staff is responsible for keeping equipment organized and up to date.
• After a shift of classes, instructors will clean up their area and lock the field as necessary.

Customer Service

• To provide the best possible customer service, instructors will take time for new kids and parents and orient them to the program.
• Staff members are expected to have detailed knowledge of the facility and programs offered.
• Instructors will be asked to give hand-outs and informational updates to their customers.
• Instructors will be encouraged to make relationships with the players and their parents; be available to answer questions, be courteous and constantly be in clear communication

Training

• Instructors may be asked to participate in training new employees or group interview process
• Employees will attend all training sessions and meetings scheduled by the Coordinator.
• Employees will return all employee shirts upon the completion of their employment at SCSC

Supervision

• All instructors are directly supervised by the Lil’ Sluggers Coordinator, Lil’ Sluggers Assistant Coordinator and SCSC Owner
